...and baby you've got me.
I used to sing this song to my daughter when she was 2. We both loved the chorus. It's so easy. Anyway - this photo was taken around that time and even tho I've scrapped it before, I never tire of it. My mom, who usually isn't the best photographer (sorry, mom) took this of us with my film camera. I LOVE IT. I scanned it and saved a digi file so I can play with it. Anyway - here it is again, this time using Webster's Pages papers. I really had fun with this. Wanna know what my inspiration was? I found some sonny and cher clips on you tube. You'd be surprised how many times over the years they sang that song together. It was really fun to see those clips. I heart youtube.
I played with some more Odd Bird Planet (Just Johanna) stamps again. This time I used papers from Flair Designs. Quick and easy cards, with a little bit of marker or colored pencils. (I think my daughter was impressed with the pencils. She asked me "How did you stay in the lines?" )
And how about some fun? I obtained some sneaky peekies of the July Lime Tart kits (the ones you can now get in the US at Odd Bird Planet!). How did I do that? Shhhhhhh - it's a secret. But you can look!
Sooo... do I have you wondering? Want some more fun? Hop on over to Melissa's blog. She has another peek and a fun give-away!
Check back in a few days for some more surprises! Meanwhile - have a great weekend! We're going to see Wall-E! I just love summer movie Friday nights!

little ones...
I got the sweetest birth announcement in the mail this week from someone me and my husband mentored in our church youth group - this young man is all grown up now, with a wife and brand new baby. Takes me back to our early baby days. :)
One thing you will always need are baby cards and birthday cards. Here are a couple cards for the little ones.
This card uses making memories papers. The heart is from Fancy Pants and the stamps are from Paper Salon.
The papers, rub ons and ribbon are from Piggy Tales.
Off to tend to the flower garden before the heat cranks up. Have a good day!

Great Kit Club News!
Many of you already know that this month is the last month of kits from one of my favorite card kit clubs, Self-Addressed. Some of the subscribers were asking opinions on what kit clubs to join. I'm not going to tell you which club to join because I love them all on some form or another and due to my budget can't belong to all my favorites, but I do want to tell you about one that is now easier for US subscribers to join. The exciting news is that Lime Tart, kit club from Australia, is now going to offer their kits from right here in the good ole USA! Just Johanna's / Odd Bird Planet has partnered with Lime Tart to bring you the zesty Lime Tart kits! It's now more affordable and convenient for those of us in the states that have been drooling over the delicious kits.
You can purchase the kits at Just Johanna's Odd Bird Planet. Just a piece of advice - I wouldn't wait because they will sell out!
Speaking of Just Johanna's stamps - I recently received some her cute stamps. Here is a thank you card using Cosmo Cricket "Pixie Dust Paper" (from Storytime collection).
And I have one more card to share today. This baby card uses paper and die cuts from Cosmo Cricket's Honey Pie collection. I've really enjoyed playing with this collection.
Have a wonderful Monday!

It's offical - The First Day Of Summer!
Yeah! Today is Friday AND the first day of summer! What does that mean - well, actually not much except that Get Smart (the movie) starts today. It's our "date night" movie for tonight. Can't wait.
In thinking of June and June brides - here is an older Wedding Ensemble I made last year using Cosmo Cricket Dutch Girl and Hampton Art Monogram stamps.
All I have today is a page I created using some of Webster's Pages papers and a sketch found on the Webster's Pages Forum.
Today is my little one's last day of swimming lessons, which means it's time to show the parents what to learn. I hope to get some good photos! Have a great weekend!

Summer and Travel!
It's almost summer! We are looking forward to going to the beach next month. My daughter is doing well with her swimming lessons - so we'll all be set for sand and surf! Speaking of travel and beach - have you seen the new Kim Hughes collection stamp set called Paradise Found? It's full of adorable beachy images and words. Here are a few things I made with them. The patterned papers are Flair Designs' new Seaside Collection.
This layout is a summer page of my little girl. Her auntie made her this outfit which she adored, so I was taking some photos of her in it. That's when she started with "the pose". She can come up with the sassiest poses and keep a straight face at the same time. The papers are Chatterbox. The embellishments are some of American Crafts, K& Co, and Heidi Grace.
Stay cool as the temperatures rise! What a good time to stay indoors and scrapbook... that is when you're not outside in the pool! Have a great day!

Twas just days before summer....
Summer officially starts this weekend. June is the month that the blueberries at my dad's house are ready. We went this weekend and picked and picked and I think I picked more than I actually need. I made a fresh pie for my hubby (Happy Father's day, honey). I'll be making more things while they are fresh and freezing some for later. My little one will be taking swimming lessons this week. She already looks like she's been swimming for weeks. She was at day camp for a couple of weeks where they stayed outside almost all day, and she is getting so brown and her hair so blonde.
Here's a page I made using a photo I took at the park in early May while shooting cap and gown photos. I distressed the chipboard and made it mimic the paper by painting, then sanding, then taking chalk ink in different colors and rubbing it over the sanded places.
Supplies: Patterned Paper and Die Cuts: Cosmo Cricket. Chipboard: Cosmo Cricket and Fancy Pants. Stickers: Flair Designs and American Crafts. Ink: Clearsnap. Other: Buttons, Trim, Twine.Paint, Plaid.
I just picked up some of the new Cosmo Cricket Honey Pie goodies and made this card and gift box. This paper line is so yummy!
Supplies: Patterned papers, rub ons and die cuts: Cosmo Cricket. Cardstock: Bazzill. Flowers: Fancy Pants. Gems: Me and My Big Idea. Ribbon: Piggy Tales. Buttons and Trim: Making Memories. Ink: Clearsnap. Paint: Plaid.
And lastly, while I had my Cosmo Cricket supplies out, I made a few more cards.
Supplies: Patterned Paper and Die Cuts: Cosmo Cricket. Cardstock: Bazzill. Ink: Clearsnap. Flowers: Prima. Buttons: Foof-a-la. Felt: Fancy Pants and Craft Supply. Stamps: Paper Salon. Other: Rick rack, trim, jute and brads.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

i'm finished!!
I'm happy to say that I'm finished with CHA assignments (at least for now) and I'm also finished with my latest art commission! WHEW. I'm tired. I'm glad that is off my to-do list because tomorrow is Friday!!!
Here's a peek at the Mardi Gras Ball Jazz Dachshund (pssttt - her name is Jasmine but we call her Jazzie) painting. This is very similar to the Jazz Doxie paintings nation-wide in Mimi's Cafe Restaurants. I'd LOVE to hear from you if you come across one. From what I've been told, look for her in the New Orleans room. I wish we'd get a Mimi's here!
Well, that's it for me this week. Have a great Friday and to all those dad's out there - have a great Father's day (not like I have any dad's reading my blog...but just in case!)

Quick Father's Day Project
Father's Day is next Sunday! If you are like me, I have a hard time getting my dad something for Father's Day. Like my mom says - he just buys whatever he needs or wants himself. That doesn't make it easy on the kids. Well, since he's going to be shopping anyway - how about a gift card? There are so many ideas just for gift cards: restaurant, Wal Mart or Target (they sell tools, right??), and even gas cards (yeah - who wouldn't want a gas card right now..).
Anyway - I made this little set and placed a gift card inside. Shhhhhhh - don't tell dad. It's a secret!
Supplies:
Patterned Paper and Alpha Stickers: Piggy Tales (Steadfast Tin Soldier Collection)
Chipboard Star: Scenic Route
Cardstock (blue and brown)
Ink: Clearsnap (chestnut roan)
Jute and Box: Craft Store
Have a great day!

Some things with Flair
I've been playing with Flair Designs collections this week. The layout uses photos I've been really wanting to use - this is our niece's little boy. Love the big blue eyes and the blue denim jacket among the fall leaves.
Just a couple of cards. The sister card uses Flair papers (Daffodil paper) and Bo Bunny (polka dots). I used the Cricut and the Cuttlebug for the stem and butterflies. The chick card uses Flair's Year Round papers with Daisy D's polka dots. The chick is from Making Memories.
And one more simple card. Father's day is coming up and this card is for something that is "like a dad". I'm sure you know someone like that.
Have a blessed day!
