I've been playing. Just playing with my papers. Yesterday I decided to create some cards with my little Crafty Secrets vintage images. Crafty Secrets makes several different booklets with different themes. There are so many uses for them and the images are sooo adorable. Of course, I made cards.
Papers are from Dream Street's new Secret Garden collection. Felt flowers and brads are from Stampin' Up.
More papers from Dream Street - these are from the Lullaby collection. Rub On is Basic Grey. The twill is from Sweetwater.
(Sorry- had to remove two of these)
October Afternoon papers (from one of my Studio Calico kits... love those kits!)
Last one - just having fun with embossed cardstock, pink chenille, rick rack and a big button.
I'm off to lunch with friends. I'm looking forward to a cozy Friday evening by the fire and a movie date with my hubby this weekend. Have a wonderful weekend and try to stay warm!

And the high today is...
Mid 70's. It's almost 6pm on a Tuesday and the temp is 72. I know - most of you are fffrreeezing. But listen to this. The high for Wednesday will be 44, and the low Wed night is 29. See the huge shift in temperatures? Enough to drive one a bit wacky. I finally hit the mall today and picked up winter clothing. Hooray for sale racks. I got just a few things that I can layer, but at least I'll be warm when the temps take a drastic plunge. I just hate buying winter clothing because we rarely EVER need it (but when your existing 'winter' items are outdated.....).
I went to a crop this weekend. I was for most of Friday and Saturday. Want to know what I got done? 4 cards and 1 one-page layout. period. that's all. LOL. Maybe I was a bit too busy talking or looking for something that I thought I brought but didn't. Or talking.
Here are 3 of my cards. The fourth one was actually for someone and never made it home.
This uses some Basic Grey paper (the yellow) and some scraps of Dream Street's new Lullaby papers. Martha Stewart border punch (again). I actually headed to Michael's Friday with my coupon to buy another punch, and low and behold, the store was nearly empty including the Martha aisle. But the GOOD news is that Sunday one of those new Michael's stores will be opening (they have a name for it - anyone remember?) I can't wait. So I'll have a new border punch soon. smile
This one uses Dream Street's new Lullaby collection. The rub on is from Scenic Route.
More of my Stampin' Up! creations. I have really enjoyed playing with their papers and embellishments in addition to the stamps. This stamp is from one of the new hostess stamp sets called "A Little Something". They just came out with the new spring catalog and oh my! it has some awesome things in it. You can purchase a catalog by contacting me, or take advantage of the special from February 1- April 30 With any online purchase, you will receive a free Spring 09 catalog. You can shop at my store any time day or night HERE. Remember, starting Sunday, free catty for online orders.
Oh- and I've had a couple of questions about the "Window" layout in my previous post. The frame is actually patterned paper from the Lullaby collection. It's called "Remember This" and you can see it here.
I can't wait to hear more about all the new CHA products that are coming out and what everyone's favorites are. If you are like me, you've been scouting some of the boards for pics and reports. Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.

a little Lullaby from Dream Street
I used the new Lullaby collection from Dream Street yesterday. You will just LOVE this line! So many cute patterns in this collection. I can't wait to play with more.
And I've just discovered that my friend, Nancy, has awared me with this award!
This is called The Proximity Award. "These blogs believe and invest in PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers, who must choose eight more and include this cleverly written text into the body of their awards".
So - now I have to pass on the honors! Hmmm... this is going to be tough. Hard to choose such a limited number. But here goes:
Hilary: Hilary and I met when Sweetwater papers started their scrapbook club. We've stayed friends since then. I wish I could spend a weekend with her in her scrapbook room, but since I can't, her blog is the next best thing. I hope you stop by and visit. It's so inspiring.
Donna: Donna is someone that I was lucky enough to scrap with. I watched her create this mini book and was amazed at all the tiny little details she put into this. I wish she had more pics of it up (hint) so you could see.
Anabelle: I'm always dropping my jaw open when I view her creations. I love her style and attention to beautiful unexpected details. She's also a Memory Makers Master, so check out the MMM blog for even more of her crafty little tips.
Godelieve: I have a confession - when I first started visiting Godelieve's blog - I thought she WAS Mathilda. LOL. I love her artistic stamping creations and great how-to's. Hope you enjoy.
Kristen: I'm always amazed at not only the amount of creations Kris produces, but at how awesome each and every one of them is. Way to go, Kriss. I need to come and scrap with you, too!
Michelle: I've just recently became a stalker..uh, viewer of Michelle's blog. It's full of beautiful creations and also fun little things to make me smile.
Arlette at the Polka Dot Pineapple: I found this blog sometime before the holidays. It's not a papercraft site. I have it listed under my "sewing" favorites, but oh my goodness - the eyecandy is beautiful. Makes me want to sew more. Arlette is in Hawaii so I can just imagine the beautiful scenery for her inspiration.
And the last of eight... which means there are at least 10 more that I'm having to leave out! Yikes.... but okay - Number eight is
Betsy. I love her use of color and her creativity with the cricut and cuttlebug, well - I just love everything she creates.
So - now go and visit these blog and bookmark them and check out their favorites. It's a great way to add to your favorites list or google reader (don't you love google reader!).
And I leave you with one little peek. This isn't a CHA related peek - it's a peek of some cards I created with the Feburary Cupcardstogo kit! Yep - it's almost that time again.
That's all you get for now. Have a great day!

Somewhere under all the paper...
is my keyboard. No, I don't scrapbook by my computer. It just seems that "other" papers just seem to end up there while I'm busy on other things.
I played with the adorable Piggy Tales collection "The Ants Go Marching" this weekend. You just can't help but smile when you use that collection. I used it on one of the Piggy Tales Drawbridge books. This book is so much fun - it has flaps that fold down, or left, or right. It was easy to use and holds more photos than you would image because of the flaps. You have even more little places for hidden journaling if you use the barndoors. I just love them. See the little bug hiding under the barndoor on the album cover. (smile) I hope you can see how everything works from these pics.
I couldn't put everything away without making a card with this collection.
That's all for today. I'm off to take some much needed time away with some girlfriends.

Takin' a little time...
.... to share a few peeks! Happy Friday everyone. It's cold here in the south. Okay - so I know it's cold everywhere - but gosh - when you run your A/C at Christmas, you aren't used to having 18 degree weather. I own one sweater. Yes, just one. I may have to shop online this week (not like it will be this cold by the time the package arrives). I'll be ready for next January, tho.
Hubby built a fire for me last night before he headed out to do some stuff with the men. I had been waiting for a whole week for some quiet time to sit and play with my new Stampin Up products, including some new stamps from the Spring/Summer 09 collection. I took them all to the living room coffee table and worked right in front of the fire and watched American Idol, recorded from Wednesday. So today, I get share some sneak of some of the new stamps.

Friday Peeks!
I just wanted to post a quick peek for the February Piggy Tales Academy. I was asked to be their guest designer for February, and got to work with the new collection called La Belle et la Bete (Beauty and the Beast). This collection has purple, magenta, orange and silver and glitter! The rub ons are also shimmery/glitter and so fun to work with. Here's a peek:
If you want to know more about the Piggy Tales Academy - read here.
I'm sooooo happy that it's Friday. I'm going to crop with some friends tonight - and well, to be honest, probably not get much done, but we'll see. I'm determined to finish scrapping my 2007 Christmas photos that I just came acrosss. Have a great weekend!
