Crafty Secrets Vintage Stuff

I've been playing. Just playing with my papers. Yesterday I decided to create some cards with my little Crafty Secrets vintage images. Crafty Secrets makes several different booklets with different themes. There are so many uses for them and the images are sooo adorable. Of course, I made cards.

Papers are from Dream Street's new Secret Garden collection. Felt flowers and brads are from Stampin' Up.

More papers from Dream Street - these are from the Lullaby collection. Rub On is Basic Grey. The twill is from Sweetwater.

(Sorry- had to remove two of these)

October Afternoon papers (from one of my Studio Calico kits... love those kits!)

Last one - just having fun with embossed cardstock, pink chenille, rick rack and a big button.

I'm off to lunch with friends. I'm looking forward to a cozy Friday evening by the fire and a movie date with my hubby this weekend. Have a wonderful weekend and try to stay warm!

Congrats to the Masters 09!

I can't start the blog for today without congratulating the new Memory Maker's Masters. I can't wait to see your wonderful work in future issues. And I have to say a special congratulations to my dear friend, Anabelle O'Malley! I'm so happy for you!!!

Anabelle also contributes to the Pursuit of Craftyness blog, and if you haven't seen one of her recent posts, you'll want to check it out. She shows innovative ways to incorporate recycling into your paper crafts.

I almost threw something away last week and remembered her tips, so I recycled a piece of plastic transparency from a sticker sheet. I stained the plastic, stamped with Stayzon and then punched out my flowers. Anabelle, I hope this makes you smile!

The papers are Graphic 45, the stickers are from Making Memories. The stamps (musical notes) are by Crafty Secrets. I handcut the fabric flowers on top of the plastic ones.

Here are a couple more cards. The first one uses American Crafts papers. The white butterfly is from one of my Scarlet Lime kits.

The last card uses my Cuttlebug and the "With Gratitude" combo die and embossing plate. The papers are leftovers from the August Paper Posies Kit.

That's all for today. School is now back in session and I'm working on getting myself into a new routine. Have a great day!
