Views from the river

I've always wanted to witness baptisms in the river. I heard we would be doing some from our chuch and had hoped they could find some white robes for everyone to wear. (they did). It makes the coolest photos. I was trying out my new camera. I think I took multiple shots of every single person. There were over 20. I didn't count. Anyway - here are a few. It was a hot sunny Sunday evening. I love the backlighting of the setting sun. And yes, the river was a nice Louisiana mud color. (grin)

I hope everyone has a fabulous hump day and upcoming weekend. Come back this weekend for some more pics. I just love my camera!

Acts 8:34-38
The eunuch asked Philip, "Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?" Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus. As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water. Why shouldn't I be baptized?" And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him.
