Tis the Season

Attention shoppers. There are only 24 shopping days until Christmas!

Did that set off the panic alarm in your brain? Just curious.

The card at the top was made with some of my Just Johanna Odd Bird Planet stamps.(sorry about the cruddy photo...) It's one of several cards I made for the "Holiday Mail for Heroes". There's still time for you to participate if you want to make some Christmas cards. Click the link to read about it.

Meanwhile, I'm waiting for the brown delivery truck to bring me this stamp set

to finish some of my Christmas cards. It's on sale right now and you can order it right here.

Tomorrow is a busy day. Lots of preparations for my crafty food day with friends on Tuesday. We are going to stamp some tags, make some treat bags, then make treats to go in them. Oh - then that night some of us are going to see Australia.

Have a great Monday - and oh yeah - don't forget to finish your Christmas shopping.

Cricut, Stamping and Punches

I've just been playing around a bit with my Cricut and a new punch. I was browsing thru Michael's this week and saw a beautiful lace border punch. I had to have it. If you read one of my previous posts, you saw where I was doing some "fall" cleaning and trying to use up some of my older papers on cards. What fun that can be!

Papers are from Fancy Pants and Basic Grey. I used the Home Accents Cricut Cartridge for the apple. I love this apple! I especially love it because it makes great cards for teachers as well as for other things. The stamps are from Odd Bird Planet.

This card uses my fancy smancy lacy border punch from Martha Stewart. Isn't it just FUN! I did two layers of border in different papers. Papers are Basic Grey and KI Memories. Apple from Home Accents (Cricut) and stamp is from Odd Bird Planet. (Oh - I found the border punch online. It's called the Doily Lace Edger Punch and you can get it at Emma's Paperie at the moment)

Last card for today. I used more Basic Grey papers, Martha Stewart lacey border punch, stamp from Odd Bird Planet and the flowers were cut from the Cricut Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. I used a gel pen on the stamped letters.

I'm having a blast trying to get some cards done with my pre-cut papers AND I'm finally using up those papers that I just "had" to save for something special. Yeah - I know you know what I'm talking about. hmmmmmmmmm. I'll leave you with that thought. :)

Oh - and one more thing. Don't you love peeks!!! Here's a peek of the Lime Tart November Full Tart. Doesn't that just look yummy!!

Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!

I've got you, babe

...and baby you've got me.

I used to sing this song to my daughter when she was 2. We both loved the chorus. It's so easy. Anyway - this photo was taken around that time and even tho I've scrapped it before, I never tire of it. My mom, who usually isn't the best photographer (sorry, mom) took this of us with my film camera. I LOVE IT. I scanned it and saved a digi file so I can play with it. Anyway - here it is again, this time using Webster's Pages papers. I really had fun with this. Wanna know what my inspiration was? I found some sonny and cher clips on you tube. You'd be surprised how many times over the years they sang that song together. It was really fun to see those clips. I heart youtube.

I played with some more Odd Bird Planet (Just Johanna) stamps again. This time I used papers from Flair Designs. Quick and easy cards, with a little bit of marker or colored pencils. (I think my daughter was impressed with the pencils. She asked me "How did you stay in the lines?" )

And how about some fun? I obtained some sneaky peekies of the July Lime Tart kits (the ones you can now get in the US at Odd Bird Planet!). How did I do that? Shhhhhhh - it's a secret. But you can look!

Sooo... do I have you wondering? Want some more fun? Hop on over to Melissa's blog. She has another peek and a fun give-away!
Check back in a few days for some more surprises! Meanwhile - have a great weekend! We're going to see Wall-E! I just love summer movie Friday nights!

Great Kit Club News!

Many of you already know that this month is the last month of kits from one of my favorite card kit clubs, Self-Addressed. Some of the subscribers were asking opinions on what kit clubs to join. I'm not going to tell you which club to join because I love them all on some form or another and due to my budget can't belong to all my favorites, but I do want to tell you about one that is now easier for US subscribers to join. The exciting news is that Lime Tart, kit club from Australia, is now going to offer their kits from right here in the good ole USA! Just Johanna's / Odd Bird Planet has partnered with Lime Tart to bring you the zesty Lime Tart kits! It's now more affordable and convenient for those of us in the states that have been drooling over the delicious kits.

You can purchase the kits at Just Johanna's Odd Bird Planet. Just a piece of advice - I wouldn't wait because they will sell out!

Speaking of Just Johanna's stamps - I recently received some her cute stamps. Here is a thank you card using Cosmo Cricket "Pixie Dust Paper" (from Storytime collection).

And I have one more card to share today. This baby card uses paper and die cuts from Cosmo Cricket's Honey Pie collection. I've really enjoyed playing with this collection.

Have a wonderful Monday!
