Somewhere under all the paper...

is my keyboard. No, I don't scrapbook by my computer. It just seems that "other" papers just seem to end up there while I'm busy on other things.

I played with the adorable Piggy Tales collection "The Ants Go Marching" this weekend. You just can't help but smile when you use that collection. I used it on one of the Piggy Tales Drawbridge books. This book is so much fun - it has flaps that fold down, or left, or right. It was easy to use and holds more photos than you would image because of the flaps. You have even more little places for hidden journaling if you use the barndoors. I just love them. See the little bug hiding under the barndoor on the album cover. (smile) I hope you can see how everything works from these pics.

I couldn't put everything away without making a card with this collection.

That's all for today. I'm off to take some much needed time away with some girlfriends.

Takin' a little time...

.... to share a few peeks! Happy Friday everyone. It's cold here in the south. Okay - so I know it's cold everywhere - but gosh - when you run your A/C at Christmas, you aren't used to having 18 degree weather. I own one sweater. Yes, just one. I may have to shop online this week (not like it will be this cold by the time the package arrives). I'll be ready for next January, tho.

Hubby built a fire for me last night before he headed out to do some stuff with the men. I had been waiting for a whole week for some quiet time to sit and play with my new Stampin Up products, including some new stamps from the Spring/Summer 09 collection. I took them all to the living room coffee table and worked right in front of the fire and watched American Idol, recorded from Wednesday. So today, I get share some sneak of some of the new stamps.

Friday Peeks!

I just wanted to post a quick peek for the February Piggy Tales Academy. I was asked to be their guest designer for February, and got to work with the new collection called La Belle et la Bete (Beauty and the Beast). This collection has purple, magenta, orange and silver and glitter! The rub ons are also shimmery/glitter and so fun to work with. Here's a peek:

If you want to know more about the Piggy Tales Academy - read here.

I'm sooooo happy that it's Friday. I'm going to crop with some friends tonight - and well, to be honest, probably not get much done, but we'll see. I'm determined to finish scrapping my 2007 Christmas photos that I just came acrosss. Have a great weekend!

So...what are you doing???

So, what are you doing while you await all the wonderful sneak peeks of CHAW-09 products? Are you working on getting your Christmas photos scrapped? Are you cleaning out your scrapbook nook? Are you working with the wonderful sneak peeks so many of us can't wait to see? Or are you just enjoying the lull after the holiday rush?

I've been enjoying the past couple of days - just playing with my stash. Today I made some cards. Last week I made some pages. It just hit me today that this is not the quiet after the storm that I'm experiencing - it's the quiet BEFORE the storm. I'm about to have a full plate with working on CHA projects - and already I'm getting dizzy thinking about it - but OH what fun.

So.... while we wait... I'll share a few things. Today I played with my Stampin' Up! stash. I have really, really enjoyed working with ALL of their products. The striped ribbon I used on the below projects come in a roll of 15 yards!! YES - 15 yards. I just LOVE knowing I'm not going to run out after using it twice. And the Hodge Podge Hardware (vanilla is shown in one of the below cards) comes in a cute little tin and has 100 pieces with 100 additional tiny brads! There are 50 bookplates. I just love this set.

Enough of that. Time to share now.

Stampin Up Products: Kraft Cardstock, Bella Rose Designer Papers, Best Yet Stamps, Riding Hood Red Ink, Hodge Podge Hardware bookplate, Chateau Bella rub ons, twill. Other: Martha Stewart Border Punch.

Stampin Up Supplies: Cardstock, Best Yet Stamps, Bella Rose Designer Papers, Pixie Pink Classic Ink, Pink Pirouette ribbon, Flower Fusion Accents & Elements (Felt Flowr). Other: Cricut Wild Card Cartridge (for the little duck frame), deco scissors, Martha Stewart border punch.

(Sorry- I had to take this one down)

Stamping Up: Cardstock (Kraft, Cameo Coral), Bella Rose Designer Paper, Dreams Du Jour Stamps, Chocolate Chip and Riding Hood Red Classic Ink. Other: Stampin Up
Die Cut: Provocraft (Cuttlebug), Button: Foof-a-la

And remember, you can order Stampin' Up! products directly from my store!

Here are a couple of pages I made using some of the Summer CHA Piggy Tales collections.

This page shows my son and his friend a few years ago at his little sister's birthday party. They weren't supposed to be playing in the "kiddie" equipment, but - oh well.... so as the title. This uses the Billy Goat's Gruff collection from Piggy Tales.

One more. This uses Itsy Bitsy Spider from Piggy Tales.

And guess what!!!!!!! (drum role). I was snooping around on the Piggy Tales website and saw some CHA WINTER 09 peakies!!! Look what I found!

And I have to confess.. I have seen La Belle in person and it has g.g.g.g.glitter!!!And not only the paper, the rub ons are shimmery. Wait till you see! Exciting, huh! I hope to have some creations with these collections soon! I'm going to be singing the "Ants Go Marching On" song the rest of the afternoon. lol

Just a bit of Citrus Love..

...brought to you by Cupcardstogo! The January Kit "Citrus Love" is now up and I hear they are already out of one of the kits... so hurry!

Now that the kit is posted - that means I get to share! I had so much fun with this kit. It was refreshing to take a break from Christmas creating. The papers include Making Memories, Pink Paislee and Dream Street, rub ons from Scenic Route... and oodles of goodies from other companies- too many to list here.

The Pink Paislee stamp used on this card is included in the main kit. You can view the tutorial for this card here.

I'm trying to get adjusted to the sudden surge of cold weather. We had a high of 79 Sunday and then it dropped quickly. Last night had lows around 41. I know many of you have endured lower temps for weeks and weeks - but I just want the weather here to make up its mind. I never know if I should bring a coat or a fan. Anyway - have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.

Playing Catch Up

I played in my scraproom this weekend. That is, after I took down Christmas decorations. After that was done I cleaned my scraproom... only to get it messy again in less than 2 hours. Oh well! That's the circle of life, huh.

I'm sooo behind on using my Studio Calico kits. I pulled out my December kit and used it on these two pages. It's a fun kit. Just what you wanted to see on a blog, huh...and yet more Christmas creations. lol.

The kit has a mixture of papers including Pink Paislee, Hambly, K&Co, Making Memories (there are more), and they always have an exclusive stamp. This month the stamp was a border stamp. I used white craft ink (Stampin' Up) and stamped on craft cardstock. I pulled a few extra supplies from my stash, too.

I'm happy to have gotten at least 2 Christmas pages done. Oh, and while digging through my work area - guess what I found. Unscrapped photos from LAST Christmas!!! LOL. Never ending cycle, huh.

And guess what today is - the kit reveal for the January Cupcardstogo Kit. I think it is scheduled for later in the evening, so hurry if you think you want one (you will!). I'll post my cards once the reveal is over. Check back soon.
